LIMITED NON-TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY
  1. Effective from the date of purchase: Used and repaired long blocks (limited to internal parts within the long block only), transmissions, short blocks & cylinder heads are warranted against defects and failure for 6 months.  Some special order items are warrantied for 3 months.  Shinwa can make exchange, repair, or refund of     pro-rated price according to its time usage, at Shinwa’s discretion.
  2. The following consequential losses such as cost of labor, tow charges, freight     charges, car rental charges, down time of inconveniences or litigation are NOT COVERED UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
  3. NO WARRANTY for the following accessories such as:
    1. Long block-Smog Emission Devices (Distributor, carburetor,     intake/exhaust manifold), starter, alternator, brackets, clutch assembly, dipstick tube, flywheel, EGR valve, fuel pump, fuel injection system, oil pan, oil pick up tube, oil pressure & water temperature sending unit, timing belts, oil pump, pulley, seals, valve cover, water pump, turbo chargers, gaskets, etc.
    2. Transmission-Neutral safety switch, electrical switches, oil pan, oil filter, overdrive sending unit switch, seals, torque converter, shifting linkage, speed armer, throttle cable, throw-out bearing, wiring system, solanoids, etc.
  4. WARRANTY will be VOIDED if the following requirements were not met:
    1. All required California Emission Control Devices must be checked for compatibility and transferred to the replacement unit prior to installation. 
    2. Unit must be installed by a qualified licensed mechanic.
    3. Oil and oil filter must be changed prior to starting engine.  It is to be repeated after 600 miles and thereafter according to manufacturer’s specifications.
    4. Oil pans, dipstick tubes, valve covers, flywheels, etc., should be changed if different.
    5. Timing belts must be replaced.
    6. Radiator must be flow and pressure checked, repaired or replaced.
    7. Thermostat, thermo sensor, water pump, radiator hoses must be replaced.
    8. Temperature and oil gauges must be in proper working condition.
    9. Keep all service and maintenance records including date of installation, mileage, parts replaced, serial numbers, etc.
    10. HEAT TAB on used long block must not be removed or melted.
    11. Front and rear crank seals must be replaced.
    12. All external seals, fluid and filter on transmissions must be replaced.
    13. Please flush the transmission cooler lines and change kick down cable.  Make sure torque converter is put all the way into the front pump.  Prior to starting the engine, transmission fluid must be filled.  Some front wheel transmissions (such as Toyota Camry, Tercel, Corolla,...) fluid must be also filled on the differential side.
  5. WARRANTY will be VOIDED if units were damaged as a result of overheating, lack of lubrication, lack of regular maintenance, improper installation, accident, being taken apart without Shinwa’s authorization, using wrong oil/fluid, misuse, abuse, commercial use, off road use (racing), etc.
  6. Exchange cores must be returned within 30 days for refund.  Shinwa shall not be held liable for cores once exchanged.
REPLACEMENT POLICY
  1. Buyer must present invoice as proof of purchase.
  2. Buyer is liable for returning the defective unit to Shinwa in Hayward for inspection before Shinwa can authorize any exchange.
  3. All charges incurred are buyer’s responsibility.
  4. Limited Warranty WILL NOT and CANNOT be extended from the date of exchange.
RETURN/REFUND POLICY
  1. Call and obtain return authorization within 30 days after purchase.
  2. Unit must be returned in its original condition and accompanied with invoice. All charges incurred are buyer’s responsibility.
  3. NO REFUND on delivery/shipping charges.
  4. A 20% of purchase price plus tax as restocking charge will be in effect on all units returned.
  5. Deposit on special order is not refundable.
SECURITY AGREEMENT
  1. There is a $20.00 service charge on any check returned.
  2. It is agreed that the customer shall pay for all expenses incurred including all reasonable attorney’s fees, collection costs and court costs in the collection of the amounts due.  Customer also agrees to pay FINANCE CHARGE for the past due until amount due is paid, at the rate of 1.5% per month which is the annual percentage rate of 18%.
